Day 33 – Jam and RPM (Evil Bikes)

Di had some how managed to convince me that RPM was a great form of exercise, so I trusted her and booked in after Body Jam. Sunday mornings are tough, not only do I have to wake up, but I also have to go work out. Sunday Morning Body Jam is usually pretty full too, so doing backwards barrell turns are usually a no no for me. Causing people injury by barrell turn isnt something I wish to do. Anyway, more new bopping tunes from Di, and it was time to prepare for RPM.

Crapping my pants really does not come close! Di helped me out with my bike settings and was really good, as she could see I had not been anywhere near a bike for a good few years! The hour was intense, much water and towel dabbing were required as you really work it. But BOY OH BOY does it hurt your ass! Talk about bruising! It felt like I had been kicked up the backside b a size 20 steel boot! Sitting down became quite sore! I can see how RPM would work for you, but I just could not get comfortable, and yes, I know that is the point! I will give RPM another go, once I can sit down properly again! ;)

Day 32 – Body Jam

My absolute favourite part of the week is Friday night Body Jam! All the basket ball guys are in, it’s the end of the week and Di is usually on top form and extra excited! What made this day even more exciting is that I had to go and buy new work out trousers the night before as everything is starting to fall down! Not great, as my arse crack wobling around isn’t the best thing in the world! I was still chuffed though!

Di changed the tracks, I’m sure she does it on purpose to try and catch me out! Jam was awesome and off I toddled home!

Day 31 – Body Vive

I hadn’t been to the gym for about a week and a half, so knew it was going to hurt. I eased myself back in with Body Vive, or so I thought. It’s funny how even a short time away from exercise and everything seizes up!

Di was her usual cheerful self, and had changed a few of the routines so I managed to look idiotic as well as unfit and un-bendy! I got through it though, and when it came to using the bands i was lumbered with a piece of elastic that kept whipping the backs of my legs. My gym shoes have flat soles which makes standing on things hard as they slip from under me, always worth a laugh though!

The Gym Experiment – Week 3 Results

Well, I wasn’t expecting much for week 3 as I had hardly been to the gym, but I was very suprised by the results!

Bust (cm) – Same
Waist (cm) – -1cm

I had expected less change as I haven’t been to the gym much this week! Added bonus!

Just to be scientific, the measurements were taken with the same tape measure, in the same places on my body, and I used the same weighing scales (although I’m convinced they are broken!)

A Very Grumpy Monkey!

I had to take Monkey to the vets to be spayed (Tuesday) She kept coming on heat, which I always described as her ‘looking in pain’ (more on this later).

We got to the vets at 8.30am where I left her to head to work. I was on tenter hooks all day at work, but received a phone call around lunch time to say she was fine, just a little grumpy! I went to pick her up at 5.15 ish and the nurse said she had been a real grump all day, and I was warned I may have to step in to help get her in her box as she was abit bitey!

She asked me to look at the computer as there had been complications during the surgery. Turns out the poor little mite had a cyst on her ovary that was huge! Monkey is only a teeny cat as it is. Bless her. They sent us home with a booster collar, that was made from material. If you want to see a picture of the cyst – click here.

I got the injured party home and gave her some yummy food, which after about 10 mins she promptly vomited straight back up! Cheers Monkey!

I slept on the sofa as I was really worried about her, she staggered around like she had been on the hard spirits and her eyes were all glazed over, I felt so guilty! I had to keep reminding myself it was in her best interests.

The next day I decided to go home for my lunch to check on her to find her collar inside out, the silly thing had folded back and she looked really daft sat in the window waiting for me. I called the vet and had to go pick up a stiffer plastic one! When I got home that evening I found she had managed to get to her wound and had made it bleed, I also *think* she managed to yank a stitch out, but as it wasn’t bleeding and looked ok, I left her too it.

The next few days consisted of me worrying, her being grumpy, and sleeping on the sofa.

I got home from the gym on Friday night to find her stomach seriously bruised and looking sore, so panic set in again and i phoned everyone asking for advice, eventually I called the vet and he asked me to take her in on the Saturday morning. So another sleepless night! All was well and it was just badly bruised, poor little mite!

She is still perking up at the moment, she has an odd moment where she vomits, thanks Monkey, but I think that is down to her being angry about the collar, which I might add as soon as a remove she goes straight for her wound and licks. I can understand why, i guess its starting to itch. But she now has her collar on 24/7.
