Day 30 – Sunday Morning Body Jam

Saturday was mainly spent asleep or cleaning! Which was nice!

Sunday morning was another Body Jam session, and it was rammed in there! I found my regular spot in the back of the class and started to work it out! Yeah baby! Di changed some of the warm up tracks but as I am beginning to know all the tracks I didn’t look like an idiot and knew what to do! Some Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Usher tracks later and I was fully bopped out!

I came home and cleaned out the beast (my car) checked the oil, filled the water up etc etc! I’m such a mechanic! (NOT) and finished off preparing my house for the arrival of my house guests on Monday. I settled down to watch my regular sunday viewings and nodded off. Does a Sunday afternoon nap mean that even at my tender age of 23, I’m getting old? eek!

Day 29 – Body Jam

Friday saw another of my fave classes – Body Jam! I’m finally picking up the routines, which is nice! So I look less flaily and more red and sweaty at the back, but keeping in time! I actually really like this routine we are doing at the moment, it’s very Hip Hoppy! So I feel like I’m in an American hip hop film like save the last dance or step up (both excellent films I might add!)

I came home from a very energy fuelled Jam to start cleaning in preparation for the arrival of Keith and Sammy Bond. My house guests for the week!

Day 28 – Body Vive!

Well, I may of accidentally been persuaded out last night instead of my usual 2 class stint at the gym. I was a good girl and only had 3 drinks though so no heavy head for me, although the maccy d’s breakfast wasn’t overly healthy.

I took my usual place at the front of class and it was once again rammed. Di was her usual cheeky happy self, and I was brimming with excitement (I’ll explain why in another post) so concentrating went straight out the window. There were a couple of near misses where I was so busy being stupidly happy that I didn’t realise we had changed moves and so I almost kicked people, and looked a complete idiot!

I had a good workout and stopped back to ask Di how to get rid of my ‘love handles’ apparently running (as if) and body pump are the way to go. When I came out the girls I vive with were on the stairs waiting for me, to inform me that in the Aqua class that is on at the same time as Vive had 5 young hot guys in it. GUTTED! I’d missed my chance of 5 hot guys in swimmers! dammit!

The Gym Experiment – Week 1 Results

I’m not spending a fortune for no reason at the gym! I’m a thrifty Northener at heart, so I decided to spend February monitoring weight loss and more importantly inch loss. I can already see a difference in my thighs and upper arms from my first months efforts but I wanted to be more scientific about February. So I took a number of measurements to see if there was a vast difference at the end of Feb. I’m female and shy so won’t reveal actual numbers but will give you the difference week on week.

1st Measurements
Taken at midnight, 03/02/09
2nd Measurements
Taken at 11pm (yes, an hour out but I’m pooped), 10/02/09

Weight (kg) – +1kg (doh!)
Upper Arm (cm) – -1cm (yay!)
Under Bust (cm) – Same (Phew!)
Bust (cm) – Same (Phew!)
Waist (cm) – -4cm (Hurrah!)
Hips (cm) – -2cm (Whoopie!)
Thigh (cm) – -2cm (Whoop!)
Calf (cm) – -2cm (Whoa Yeah!)

Just to be scientific, the measurements were taken with the same tape measure, in the same places on my body, and I used the same weighing scales (although I’m convinced they are broken!)

The results are interesting especially if I continue on the same path!

I just realised I forgot to measure my arse! Doh!

Day 27 – Aqua and Body Jam

meh! Another day of haribo and coffee and the evening downer continued! On the plus side I did catch up with my gym buddies and had a good old Valentines Day slagging off! I have spent the past 6 weeks prepping Valentines Day and I am single and could quite happily never hear those words again, I digress.

Aqua was good apart from the ruddy running around the pool! That gives me sore cankles! We did some serious arm work so my bingo wings shall not flap in the wind tomorrow! Woo hoo! I think I must have lost weight because my swimmers were rather baggy which was a little bit of a boost in my haribo/coffee downer! Some floating and leg kicking later and it was time to get out, have a quick steam, quick jacuzzi and shower ready for Jam.

Up to Jam I headed and Di was her usual chipper self! One of the regulars who had been on holiday was back which was great for me as I usually copy her. Some Meringue, Cha Cha Cha and salsa etc and a spot of the ol’ hippety hop and Jam was over and done with, leaving an exhausted, sweaty, dry mouthed, and grumpy Hannah at the back! (NB – dry mouth likely result of too much sugar)
