Work

Please find below some of the places I have worked in the past and present;

September 2008 – Present
Senior Account Manager – Existem Affiliate Management
I am currently working alongside Mark and Bruce at Existem Affiliate Management in Plymouth. I look after my own clients as well as supporting Mark and Bruce with theirs. My role involves writing copy for our clients and affiliates. Prepping incentives, banners and sales, including important dates throughout the year. I also closely monitor affiliate marketing spend to ensure that both the Merchant and affiliate are not losing money. I am also responsible for checking for any misuse of voucher codes or PPC rules.

September 2007 – September 2008
Marketing Executive – Mobiles.co.uk
My duties involved writing copy for the website, blog and for articles. I also wrote press releases and handset reviews. My other duties involved looking after our email marketing campaigns from planning to execution. I was also the affiliate manager, and was responsible for managing the affiliate relationships, gaining new ones and optimizing current ones. I looked after budgets, voucher codes, incentives, PPC restrictions and all other aspects of affiliate marketing, taking a poorly performing campaign to one that now makes up a large percentage of the total sales for Mobiles.co.uk. One of the more rewarding parts to my job was looking after Charity Mobiles. I also looked after the internal events such as the ‘summer barbeque’, the monthly internal newsletter and am also still the ‘voice of mobiles.co.uk’.

June 2006 – Septemeber 2007
Advertising Manager – Fone, Mobile News and What Mobile Magazines
My main duties include the sales of the advertising within the magazine and online, also the management of the junior member of staff who dealt with classified and recruitment advertising. Within my job I was responsible for helping clients make the correct decisions on how to spend their marketing budget by discussing new ideas and ways of marketing their product effectively and economically. I helped them with the forward planning of their campaign by assisting in decisions on how, where and when to create maximum impact throughout their current campaign, both online and in print.

October 2005 – March 2006.
Customer Services and Sales – Rocfast Ltd
I was employed as part of the customer service and sales team for Rocfast Ltd. I worked on a part-time basis whilst at university selling their rivet and fastening products. I canvassed for new business by helping in the design of promotional leaflets and catalogues. I also assisted with order inputting and dispatching.

February 2005 – August 2005
Telemarketing Manager – Zenith Staybrite
I worked initially as a tele-marketer, canvassing for Zenith Staybrite. Arranging appointments for sales representatives to go to customer’s properties to consult with them, with the intent to sell them windows. I was then promoted to assistant and then to tel-can room supervisor. I had the roles of general supervision, motivation, recruitment, wages, and many other smaller managerial roles.

Before attending university I worked at the following;

The Cookshop, Peak Village, Rowsley. I worked there for four months, then during holidays for the next year and a half. I helped to set up the shop, and within a short period of time was promoted to temporary manager. This meant that I had to oversee the general running of the shop; I was responsible for staff, ordering stock and customer service. I was responsible for creating promotions for stock, including merchandising, marketing and coming up with creative and innovative ideas to boost sales.
